Application

A salon manicure
in six calm steps

A well-applied set looks fresh for 10–14 days; a rushed one lifts after two. The difference nearly always sits in the prep, so here’s the whole ritual, unhurried, from bare nail to safe removal.

Six steps

One at a time, top to bottom

Set aside fifteen unhurried minutes. Each step builds on the last. Skip the prep and the rest won’t hold.

Prep the nail

Push your cuticles back with the wooden stick, then gently file and buff the natural nail until the surface is matte. Finish by degreasing thoroughly with acetone or alcohol on a cotton pad. This one step decides how long your set lasts, don’t rush it.

10 tips, in order

Match your sizes

Lay all ten tips out in finger order before you glue anything. Each one should reach sidewall to sidewall, snug, but never digging into the skin. A quick dry test now saves a re-do later.

Glue or tabs

Pick how it sticks

The adhesive tabs are in your box: a day or two of wear, clean removal, and a set you can wear again. Reach for nail glue, which you buy separately, when you want up to two weeks of solid wear.

Hold for 30 seconds

Press on at an angle

Set the press-on at the cuticle first, then roll it down toward the tip. That motion pushes the air out instead of trapping it. Press firmly and hold for a full 30 seconds so the bond takes.

No water · 2 hours

Let it cure

Keep your hands away from water for two hours. The insider trick: apply in the evening so the bond cures overnight while you sleep. It’s the single easiest way to add days of wear.

Warm soak · ready to reuse

Take them off smartly

When it’s time, soak your hands in warm soapy water for 10–15 minutes and gently lift each edge with the wooden stick. Never pull them off dry. Treated kindly, a set survives several wears.

Wearing a set again? Gently file the old glue off the underside of the tip with an e-file on low speed until it is smooth. A smooth surface means a stronger hold next time.

A closer look

Glue or tabs, which is for you?

Nail glue up to 2 weeks

The long-haul hold, for everyday wear and for occasions you don’t want to think about.

Strongest, longest hold
Survives showers & daily life
Needs a warm soak to remove
Adhesive tabs 1–3 days

The gentle, reusable option for a single evening, or for a first try with no commitment.

Clean removal, no trace left
Wear the set again and again
Kind to natural nails

One tip

Do it in the evening. The rest takes care of itself.

The glue cures overnight with nothing to disturb it, and the bond ends up noticeably stronger. A few extra days of wear from timing alone.

Now for the best part

All that’s left is picking a design

Every set is hand-painted to order, and the box arrives with adhesive tabs, a mini file, a cuticle stick and this guide inside.
